Spartanburg County is growing rapidly, but our infrastructure isn't keeping pace. Our roads are deteriorating, becoming more dangerous with the surge in traffic. Potholes, crumbling pavement, and unsafe conditions are not just inconveniences—they're hazards.

Caylus believes that County Council should refocus existing resources on our most deteriorated roads through a tiered system that prioritizes the worst conditions first. We don't need new taxes—we need smarter spending.

The Penny Sales Tax and Road Use Tax were designed to support our infrastructure. Let's ensure those funds are used effectively to make our roads safer for everyone.

Additionally, upon taking office, Caylus will call for a comprehensive review of all road projects in Spartanburg County to assess all current and planned projects to ensure that our resouces are being used effectively. We won't be able to fix this issue overnight, but with the right game plan, we can build the Spirit of Spartanburg County.
